How it works

Every claim, traced to a source, and verified.

Resur reads what an AI wrote, breaks it into individual claims, and traces each one back to an authoritative source—labeling it verified, unverified, or contradicted, with the evidence shown. The check runs independently of the model that produced the text; Resur never asks an AI to grade its own work.

The input—what the AI said

Nvidia became the first company to reach a $1 trillion market capitalization, crossing the mark in May 2023. It was founded in 1993, and its CEO Jensen Huang holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

What Resur does

1

Claim

One factual statement, pulled from the AI’s answer.

2

Authoritative source

Resur finds where that fact really lives.

3

Check

The claim is matched against the evidence.

4

Verdict + evidence

Verified, unverified, or contradicted—shown.

A verdict with evidence, not a score

Every claim is labeled verified, unverified, or contradicted, with the exact source it was checked against and a link straight to the record. No matching source, no “verified.”

Catches hallucinations

When a claim has no authoritative backing, Resur says so—instead of letting a confident-sounding assertion pass unchecked.

Source-quality aware

Resur weighs whether a claim is verified, requiring primary and authoritative sources over low-quality ones—and keeps looking when the first source is weak.

Runs where you work

One MCP connector adds verification to any MCP-supporting AI client, right where you’re working.

Who it's for

Built for work where a wrong fact has a cost.

Lawyers

Since Mata v. Avianca, a fabricated citation means sanctions—Resur flags a case with no real source before it reaches the brief.

Consultants

One wrong number in a client deck can cost the engagement—Resur checks every figure against an authoritative source first.

Financial analysts

Analysts and bankers build pitch and client decks where every figure has to be right—Resur verifies the numbers against primary sources before you present.

Researchers & academics

A citation has to actually exist and say what you claim—Resur traces each one back to the source it cites.

Journalists & fact-checkers

A deadline is no excuse for an error—Resur checks each claim against authoritative reporting and records.

Healthcare & life sciences

A misread study or wrong figure carries real consequences—Resur verifies each fact against the primary literature.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is Resur?
Resur is a trust and verification layer for AI-assisted work. It reads what an AI wrote, separates it into individual factual claims, and traces each claim back to an authoritative source—labeling it verified, unverified, or contradicted, with the evidence shown.
How does it work?
Resur runs four steps: it breaks the response into atomic claims, searches for authoritative sources, judges the evidence against each claim, and emits a verdict. The check runs independently of the model that produced the text—Resur never asks an AI to grade its own output.
Which AI tools does it work with?
Resur is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so it works in the AI tools you already use—add it once as a connector. The interactive verification panel renders inline in hosts that support MCP Apps UI—Claude today; in other clients—ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, the JetBrains IDEs, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Zed, and more—the same per-claim verdicts and sources come through as clean text. As MCP Apps support spreads, each new host gets the inline panel the day it ships.
How accurate is it, and how does it err?
Verification is a narrower, more grounded task than generation, but no checker is perfect. Resur is deliberately calibrated toward caution: when evidence is missing or ambiguous it flags a claim as unverified rather than asserting a verdict it cannot substantiate. A false "verified" is the outcome it works hardest to avoid.
What about my privacy?
The only thing Resur receives is the specific claim it's asked to verify. It does not see your AI chat, and it receives nothing else—only the claim to be checked. Anonymous use is supported with no account, and registered users can delete their data at any time. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
